Issaquah Outpatient Cancer Center

Swedish has been fighting cancer for more than 75 years. Now it’s time to get the upper hand.

Thanks to innovative treatments and technology, more than two-thirds of the nearly 4,000 new cancer patients Swedish will treat each year will go on to become five-year cancer survivors.

Until the vast majority of patients beat cancer, we need to focus more of our attention and even more of our dollars on this insidious disease.

For cancer patients who live on the Eastside, dealing with unpredictable traffic jams when they come into the Swedish Cancer Institute for treatment adds an unnecessary layer of stress to their already difficult lives.

To make excellent cancer treatment more convenient to East King County residents, Swedish is building an outpatient cancer center in Issaquah. The Swedish Cancer Institute’s most frequently needed services will be offered at the Issaquah facility. These services include medical oncology, chemotherapy infusion, radiation therapy, diagnostic radiology, clinical laboratory, patient education, and a breast-care center with breast screening, diagnosis and surgical consultation.

In addition to providing funds for equipment needs, community support will enhance the patient experience through supporting integrative care services, an education and resource center, the Patient Assistance Program for non-medical financial assistance and other important services. Your donation will make a tremendous difference in the lives of those facing cancer.

“We are excited to bring the world-class cancer services of the Swedish Cancer Institute to Swedish/Issaquah. In this new center, cancer patients will be able to receive the best care possible from our highly-skilled physicians and staff in a center that is close to home.” Dr. Al Einstein
