Swedish Breast Care Express
Mammograms are essential in the early detection of breast cancer. These scans can pinpoint cancer before it has spread, when the five-year survival rate is a remarkable 98 percent.
The Swedish Breast Care Express is comprised of two mammography coaches, equipped with a rooftop satellite system, so radiologists back at the Swedish Cancer Institute can interpret images transmitted from the field.
Ongoing donor support is key to keeping the Breast Care Express on the road and performing its mission to provide an ever-growing number of women throughout Western Washington access to life-saving mammography screening services.
